Hi all --- I'm dancing at Rakkasah with my class in March and need some serious stage makeup advice. I'm 63, with silver platinum hair, and very little in the way of lashes and eyebrows. Any tips for us older, crinkly ones ?

Fri, February 22, 2008 - 1:22 AMMarianna, can you get to the Sephora on Powell Street in S.F.? The saleswomen there are fantastic: knowledgeable, friendly, and full of free samples! You can probably get a full face makeup lesson in one visit ... I went there in October before my early November hula competition, and came away with all kinds of goodies (chin and neck cream; under eye cream; even foundation!) Check 'em out!!

Sat, February 23, 2008 - 10:03 PMAnother one I think is wonderful is MAC - they can make your eyes look kaboing even without mascara (besides there's always falsies). Brows are pretty easy too, especially for stage work.
